Chris O'Neal
Educational Leadership

I am currently working with several school districts across the country, as well as state departments of education, universities, public service agencies, regional education service agencies, and professional organizations. I also work with many educational services such as online custom writing services, which help students improve their knowledge and achieve success in their studies. My main area of interest is developing and providing professional development for teachers, administrators, instructional leaders, and parents.

I also provide keynote presentations, work on reviews and evaluations of projects, provide grant-writing and reviewing services, and lead facilitation for retreats topics such as educational change, team-building, technology leadership, and making better use of school data.

I provide workshops and classes in the areas of Web 2.0, energizing the school culture, technology and school change, curriculum development, technology integration, student/school performance data, and so on. If you are interested in any of the above, please email me for a rate sheet and availability. You may also be interested in a listing of technology-related workshops (pdf). If you're looking for something to do schoolwide or districtwide, try a booktalk. I'm doing one now using The World is Flat (pdf). The latest workshop, and my current favorite, is "Everything Web 2.0" (pdf) - it's now available and rolling. Download the flyer for details - teachers at all levels really love this one!

Current popular workshops include, but are not limited to:

  • Data Retreats for School Teams - understanding school data from an educator's perspective, maximizing school efforts based on student performance trends, creating a more cohesive central office/school faculty;
  • What's new out there? - a highly interactive and tons-of-fun session on Web 2.0, social software, geeky things you should know about, etc.
  • Planning effective lessons - for classroom teachers who wish to use new methods for enhancing lessons, integrating a project-based approach in the classroom;
  • Cyber Safety and the MySpace Generation - geared toward PTAs/PTOs, teachers, parents, administrators to assist them in making sure that children have positive, safe experiences online;
  • Leadership with Technology - issues of critical concern for principals, superintendents, tech coordinators, and other school leaders in evaluating the use of technology in a classroom, aligning school improvement/technology planning, and keeping abreast of legal and policy issues;
  • General facilitation for educational retreats/academies - I have worked with WestEd to become an Authentic Task Approach (ATA) facilitator, helping groups make the most of their time together when needing to accomplish major tasks such as reorganization, team-building, and school improvement planning.

"Chris is such an outstanding facilitator. He has made this one of the absolute best professional development experiences I've ever had."
